Go Deeper with Others
First Congo Book Club
Thursday, September 28th, 7:00 p.m. (Contact Peter--info below--for location.)
Do you love reading and enjoy discussing books? Are you open-minded and willing to read a variety of fiction and nonfiction books? If so, consider joining this group--open to adults and youth—--as you stretch your mind while getting to know others.
September's book, Thirteen Moons by Charles Frazier, takes place in the early American West. An orphan named Will Cooper is sent into the Cherokee Nation to run a remote Indian trading post. Will meets Bear, a Cherokee chief. They develop a relationship that leads to Will's adoption into the Cherokee tribe. It is a story of a search for home, a hunger for fortune and adventure, and eventually true love.
All are welcome to join in, but a courtesy call to the host ahead of time is always appreciated. (Contact: Peter Nichols, 484-432 4548, firstname.lastname@example.org for the meeting address.)
